At Gillingham United Reformed Church, we are committed to providing an inclusive and accessible environment for all our visitors, customers, and staff. We continuously work to improve our facilities and services to ensure everyone can enjoy a welcoming and dignified experience.
Physical Access
- Ramp Access: Our main entrance is equipped with a permanent, shallow-gradient ramp to ensure smooth access for wheelchair users, mobility scooters, and pushchairs.
- Step free Access: Entrance to the meeting halls is by step free access.
- Accessible Toilets: We provide fully accessible toilets on the ground floor. These facilities feature wide doorways, grab rails and lowered sinks.
Audio & Visual Assistive Technology
- Auracast™ Broadcast Audio: Our venue features state-of-the-art Auracast™ technology. Visitors with compatible hearing aids, cochlear implants, or earbuds can stream high-quality audio directly from our sound system to their personal devices. Please speak to our staff at the sound desk if you need assistance connecting.
- Visual Assistance: We project relevant parts of the service using high contrast colours.
Reading Materials & Formats
- Large Print Books: We offer the use of large-print hymn books.
